One of the most often applications of RLT is its ability to promote hair growth. This is because the red light energy stimulates the cells within the hair follicles, which in turn increases blood flow, metabolic activity, and ultimately, hair growth.
The boost in cellular energy also results in increased production of adenosine triphosphate (ATP), the fuel that powers all of our cells, including those in the hair follicles.
Red light therapy can be delivered through various methods, such as handheld devices, full-body panels, and different caps. This makes it a convenient and accessible option for anyone looking to improve their hair growth and overall health.
Moreover, RLT is completely safe and pain-free, making it an attractive alternative to more invasive hair growth treatments. With the convenience of at-home use, you can enjoy the benefits of this technology in the comfort of your own home.

“I'm absolutely overjoyed that I chose to invest in the laser cap for my hair care routine. I make it a point to use the cap for 30 minutes every other day, as per the instructions, and it has proved to be very convenient and manageable. In addition to the laser cap, I also decided to purchase the hair vitamins and shampoo, which have worked wonders together.
It has been six months since I started using the laser cap and I can already see significant changes. The hair in my parting looks thicker, and there is less scalp visibility. I also find that I have more hair when I wash it, which is a great feeling.”— Sophia, TX (about Kiierr Laser Cap 272)

After using it for two years, I can confidently say that it has delivered on its promises. Not only has my hair thinning stopped, but I am hopeful that it will continue to work for me in the future.
I was also impressed with the customer service from Capillus. When I first received the cap, I realized that I needed a larger size. So I reached out to the company and they were extremely responsive and helpful. They quickly swapped out the cap for me, and the best part was that it was done at no additional cost.”— Leo, CA (about Capillus Pro S1)
“I'm glad to found a solution for my hair loss problem. It's great that the cap is not only stopping your hair from shedding, but it is also helping it grow back. Moreover, not having to use sprays or rub anything on the scalp has made my hair feel soft and silky, which is always a plus. It's amazing!”— Jane, WI (about Kiierr Laser Cap 272)
“As a woman who has passed her 40th birthday, I have been on a journey to find a solution for my hair concerns. This was a cause of concern for me, so I decided to do some research to find the best product that could help me. After careful consideration, I came across Capillus and was impressed with the scientific basis behind its claims. I took the leap of faith and invested in the product, and I’m so glad that I did.
After using it for over a year now, I am proud to say that my hair has been restored to how it was when I was in my 20s. My hair is now long, thick, and full, and I have received numerous compliments from my friends, family, and even my hairstylist.”— Caroline, AZ (about Capillus Pro S1)
Red light therapy has been gaining popularity as a potential treatment for hair loss. Despite the growing interest, there is still a lot of debate surrounding its effectiveness for hair loss. Below, we'll take a closer look at the science behind red light therapy and what the research says about it.
A study of 100 patients with had participants randomly receive laser therapy on one side of their head and sham therapy on the other side, 3 times a week for 30 minutes over 24 weeks. Results showed the side treated with laser therapy had significantly more hair coverage and improved thickness compared to the side treated with sham therapylycopene-fortified.
The next study consisted of 40 patients who were diagnosed with genetic hair loss and thinning and were randomly divided into two groups. The first group of 20 patients received real LLLT therapy, while the second group — a placebo system.
The study lasted for 16 weeks, during which time both groups received three treatments per week. The results showed that the group receiving real LLLT therapy experienced an average increase in hair growth of 43%, while the group receiving the placebo only saw a 5% increase on average.
The following study was conducted in private clinics with 128 male and 141 female participants who were randomized to receive either red light therapy or a sham device. The entire scalp of each patient was treated three times a week for 26 weeks.
The results showed an average growth in hair count of 20.27 cm² from baseline after 26 weeks. The increase in hair density was not affected by the age or gender of the subjects. Additionally, 70% of patients who received red light therapy reported a reduction in overall hair loss. No serious side effects were reported during the trial.
Red light therapy frequency for hair growth can vary based on the device and personal requirements.
Red light therapy, also known as low-level light therapy, uses wavelengths in the 630-670 nanometers to promote hair growth. The light increases blood flow to the scalp, bringing essential nutrients to the hair follicles and stimulating the production of new hair.
There are many different devices available on the market that offer red light therapy for hair growth, including:
These devices typically come in the form of caps that can be used in the comfort of your own home.
While red light therapy for hair growth has received positive reviews from many users, it's important to consult with a doctor before starting the therapy, especially if you have a history of skin sensitivity or if you are currently taking any medications.
The device uses low-level or near-infrared red light in the range of 630 to 670 nanometers. This specific wavelength has been shown to be effective in promoting hair growth and health.
Red light therapy increases blood flow and circulation to the scalp, which delivers essential nutrients to the hair follicles. It also stimulates the production of ATP (adenosine triphosphate), a molecule that provides energy to cells, leading to improved hair growth.
The length of each red light therapy session can vary depending on the device used and the individual's hair needs. Generally, treatments can last from 5 to 30 minutes.
It is recommended to avoid looking directly into the light and to wear protective eyewear if provided with the device. Additionally, it's best to avoid using the device if you have any open wounds or infections on your scalp.
